Sign of The Times

Sign of The Times is a 36"x24" figurative work born from a dream of a woman with her eyes covered. Rendered in black and white, her face sits beneath layered modelling paste in neutrals, blush, and black that stretches across her eyes and into the background. As the piece evolved, it became a quiet self portrait, reflecting the feeling of standing at the beach when a breeze lifts and carries away heaviness and unspoken thoughts. The textured surface suggests release and softness, capturing a moment where emotion begins to dissolve into calm.
