Sign of The Times

"Sign of the Times" is named after Harry Style’s song. The idea for the painting came to me in a dream. I was inspired by the famous artist, Talia Stanton’s style of artwork with women’s faces blending into the background and losing parts of themselves. I kept picturing this image of a woman’s face with her eyes being swept away. As I started painting it, I realized it was her tears floating away. These lyrics from the song struck me, “Just stop your crying it’s a sign of the times. Welcome to the final show.” It resonated with me as I felt I was going through a shift.
